
María José Lee Ocampo (she/her) is an Associate Consultant at SEEK Development. She brings a wide array of research and project management experience. At SEEK, she is passionate about data-driven policy analysis and focuses on economic policy and public sector strategy.
With her expertise in digital governance, economic policy, and research methodologies, she supports clients with data analysis, policy evaluation, and strategic recommendations.
Previously, she worked in the fields of development economics, urban policy, and governance. She worked at the Hertie School as an Associate Researcher for the REGULATE project, gaining experience in web scraping, sentiment analysis, and policy evaluation. She also collaborated with the Regional Action Lab on a research project analyzing political discourse, gaining experience in computational text analysis and research article writing. She started her career working on behavioural economics experiments as part of the Undergraduate Research Group of Experimental Economics at Universidad del Rosario.
She holds a Masters in Data Science for Public Policy from the Hertie School, and a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Rosario.
