Zachary Abel (he/him) is a Consultant at SEEK Development. He brings experience in health economics, inequality and inequity, and economic development gained as an academic and management consultant. Zac is passionate about healthcare development and inequity reduction in line with UN SDG #3. His focus is in global and public health, and broader areas of development aligned with SEEK's focus areas.
Zac’s experience in strategy and transformation within large organizations and his quantitative expertise in modelling and health economics allows him to support a broad set of clients with strategy, data driven approaches, and implementation. He has previously worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey and Company. He has worked extensively in large scale strategy, healthcare transformation, project management, and modelling across fields. Zac has also worked on a number of strategy projects in Africa, often leading modelling and quantitative efforts.
Zac holds a Bachelors in Economics and Statistics from the University of Cape Town. He completed a Masters in Economics for Development and is completing a PhD in Population Health, specializing in Health Economics, as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford.
