SEEK Development seeks a global health expert, with extensive knowledge and experience on nutrition to provide 86 days of support throughout 2025 (on average 2 days/week but might vary depending “peak” engagement times around events/government meetings) in France for one of our clients in the nutrition space - a leading US-based philanthropic organization dedicated to fighting global child malnutrition through cost-effective interventions.  

This role is critical in supporting our client’s advocacy and government relationship building efforts in France. The Consultant will be responsible for managing and supporting various initiatives throughout 2025, with a focus on strategically planning engagement, managing relations with key officials and stakeholders, and supporting event planning and policy monitoring. The Consultant will report to the client’s senior director based in Paris, France.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER
Based on this, we would like to identify and recruit one global health expert with experience working in France. This role will be remunerated; daily rates to be discussed with prospective candidates.

Time investment: The Consultant is expected to provide 86 days of support throughout 2025 (on average 2 days/week but might vary depending “peak” engagement times around events/government meetings)

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Country Consultant for France, you will work on the following tasks on an ongoing basis until December 2025: 

  1. Build and manage relationships with key in-country stakeholders by attending meetings/ events and identify potential partnership and co-investment opportunities
  2. Develop advocacy memos and materials (incl. briefs, talking points and presentations) to support outreach to key officials at the Elysée and beyond
  3. Monitor the French policy landscape and provide intelligence and updates as needed
  4. Maintain the 2025 advocacy strategy and workplan, by translating goals into detailed week-by-week workplans and refreshing advocacy goals as needed
  5. Support with the identification and management of new grantees, incl. developing ToRs, reviewing and commenting on new proposals, embedding grantee activities into master workplan and conducting regular progress reviews on deliverables.
  6. Support with events management and execution by inputting into concept notes, identifying location, handling D-day logistics and inputting into invitee lists
ABOUT YOU

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE:

  • Background in global health, nutrition, or a related field, with specific experience in advocacy or policy
  • Proven experience in advocacy, government relations, or a similar field in France
  • Strong understanding of the political and policy landscape in France
  • Existing relationships with relevant individuals in government, parliament, and CSOs in France
  • Familiarity with the global health and nutrition landscape in France
  • Event planning and stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
